Annabelle Davis~
Canine Aqua Balance met Annabelle Davis after her owner was told by her local veterinarian that she could benefit from water therapy. Annabelle has had 2 knee surgeries and in April 2009 had a “TATE” elbow. With Annabelle being 10 years old, her mobility has started to decrease and her owners were looking for options to increase her quality of life. Annabelle loves the outdoors and lives for hunting. With weekly underwater treadmill visits and acupuncture, Annabelle has gotten that little extra skip back in her spirit. Being 1 of 3 “Royals” (which her and her sisters are known as), she is able to interact with her sisters and family with more ease. Her quality of life is enhanced and the “twinkle” in her eyes has returned :o)
Suzie~
Suzie, our loving little companion was almost 10 years old when she had amazingly come through some major health issues. I let her outside one October morning and after making it to the back door to be let back in; I found she could no longer walk on her hid legs. We had no warning signs but now her mobility had been stopped cold. I immediately took her to 360 Pet Medical to Dr. Middelstead only to discover she had two ruptured disks and major emergency surgery was the only hope we had for her. She was under the best of care with specialists and the surgery was successful but we had a long, hard recovery to face and I was worried that she would never walk again. After two weeks, statistics claim the dog will be at 95% of its total recovery. After two weeks, Suzie still was not walking. We followed the advice of our vet and took Suzie to the Canine Aqua Balance Center where we met the most caring, kind and concerned staff. Suzie was treated with several weeks of the underwater treadmill, acupuncture and massages. In the middle of her treatments and home therapy, Suzie’s sister whom she had shared her bed and food with since birth, died. She did well at overcoming that obstacle and I want to tell you, she beat the odds of her back injury recovery because of the treatment and instructions CAB had for us. It is now almost 4 months post op and Suzie is walking very well and even walks on slippery surfaces. She is climbing stairs as long as they have a textured surface but has a fear of going down steps. Suzie gets just about anywhere she wants to go and is still my happy little girl. We have every part of her recovery to thank CAB for.
Sincerely,Donna Beck
Roxi~
For the past 12 years my companion at home and in my truck, literally from coast to coast, Maine to South Carolina, has been a yellow lab named Roxie. I almost lost her too Feb. 2009 when a back injury took her back legs totally out from under her. She could not use them at all.
I am convinced that acupuncture and some supplements restored the use of her legs and gave us more time and more trips together. I keep her monitored by her Vet and see this as “additive” not “alternative” care. I thank Dr. Christine Kenyon, Canine Aqua Balance and Headwaters Vet Hospital for giving Roxie more good living.
I have added the underwater treadmill which she enjoys and which allows a dog who can no longer go for traditional walks to exercise regularly and painlessly. She always leaves her sessions energized.

Stilly~
My Experience with the staff of Canine Aqua Balance has been a five star experience. The staff is extremely compassionate and knowledgeable. I came to CAB with my 4year old English Labrador, Stilly, who was obese and had hurt her leg. Through the therapy, the staff has given me hope and understanding; they are always willing to answer any questions and concerns that I might have. Through this experience with my dear sweet Stilly, I have learned that this applies to my life also. I have had a quintuple coronary bypass and lung complications. In order to be healthy for Stilly, I need to step up and take better care of myself. I will be eternally grateful to the staff of CAB. They have given me more than they will ever know. Also, Stilly has lost 14lbs in 4 months and has about 10 more to go and no longer limps. We are both well on our way to a better healthier life together.
Sincerely Grateful,
JoAnn Sandoval
